EXPLORE ROME & TUSCANY!
Day 1: Arrive in Rome, book in to your hotel and then relax! Take some time to do a little exploring, maybe explore the Piazzas and enjoy a gelato.

Day 2: Today we will do some touring of Rome (comfortable shoes essential) as a group and what better place to start than the Colosseum, from there we can go to the magnificent Trevi Fountain, be sure to throw in a coin to ensure you return to Rome.
Then the Pantheon, a Roman temple turned church, so elaborate and mysterious. On to Piazza Navona, more than 2,000 years old, a good spot for an Italian coffee and gelato.
A visit to Campo de’Fiori a bustling market full of fresh fruit, flowers, wine and local olive oils. A good place to stop for lunch!
We then make our way to Castel Sant’Angelo along Via dei Coronari and the Ponte Sant’Angelo. Beautiful Via dei Coronari runs through the heart of Rome’s Centro Storico neighbourhood and is perfect for snapping photos. We will cross the angel-lined bridge to Castel Saint’Angelo, one of Rome’s most recognisable buildings.
Now we head over to St. Peter’s Square and just like that you are in the Vatican City! We can visit the interior of St. Peter’s Basilica (dress code of no shoulders or knees showing) and for those who don’t mind tight spaces, a climb to the top of the dome.
We end our day at the Spanish Steps, a fabulous place to enjoy the sunset.

Day 3: After breakfast we catch the high speed train to our next destination, Florence.
Spend the day exploring Florence …Medici Chapels, San Lorenzo Basilica and Market, Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, Accademia Gallery and Michelangelo’s David, Uffizi Gallery, Arno River crossed by Ponte Vecchio, Piazza Santa Croce.

Day 4: Today we go to the timeless city of Pisa. Visiting Piazza dei Miracoli, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The centrepieces of this magnificent square are the Cathedral and the iconic Leaning Tower. Enjoy some leisure time and wander through the historic quarter, perhaps discover hidden gems like the Church of San Sisto and Piazza dei Cavalieri.

Day 5: A change of pace today, wine tasting! Explore the rolling hills of Chianti Wine region and enjoy the beautiful Tuscan countryside. We will visit a rustic Wine Estate and taste their wines. Learn the wine-crafting process and tour the cellars. Pair your wines with regional products and be taught some tips on good wines. Taste the local olive oils and Balsamic vinegars.

Day 6: Today we head to the spectacular Cinq Terre Coast. A string of centuries old seaside villages on the Italian Riviera. There are 5 towns full of colourful houses and vineyards, harbours filled with fishing boats and trattorias serving delicious seafood and the regions famous pesto. We can also enjoy the view with a boat ride and perhaps a swim in the Mediterranean Sea.

Day 7: Last day in Florence. You can have the option today of exploring more of the city’s stunning architecture, galleries, statues and shops or learning how to make pasta and gelato with a professional chef.

Day 8: Return to Rome by train.
