Our Wild Atlantic Way tour is epic!
Do a week or two and come back another time and do the rest! Every October, the most beautiful time of the year with the leaves turning, the deer rutting, and the low sun glistening over the sea. Every windey road along the coastal Wild Atlantic Way, stopping in many villages, light houses, artisan food stops & cliffs, cafés, restaurants and pubs along your journey.
WEEK 1
Cork to Killarney
Exploring every inch of the coastline and a few islands. Includes a few off-route adventures to see some amazing historical gems. Visit Sherkin, Crookhaven, Barleycove, Mizen, Dursey, Valentia, Kerry Cliffs and so much more. Meeting at the Imperial Hotel Cork at 1pm on Sunday and finishing the first leg in Killarney on Saturday evening.
WEEK 2
Killarney to Galway
With the ferry across the Shannon and including a trip to the Aran Islands. Visiting all the places not usually visited like Loop Head Lighthouse, Kilkee Cliffs, the Bridges of Ross, and many more villages, cafés and pubs along the way. Lots of incredible Irish music, singing and dancing along the West Coast. Visiting ancient sites, Burren Perfumery and Hazel Mountain Chocolate Factory.
Starting at the Great Southern Hotel (near Killarney bus and train station) and finishing at the Hardiman Hotel (near Galway train and bus station)
WEEK 3
Galway to Sligo
Oh, the views over Galway as you head out through Salthill towards Spiddal is absolutely captivating!
Enjoy the craft village with its magnificent little café. Then every nook and cranny, every peninsula, roads with grass growing down the middle, where the sheep and cattle have the right of way.
Through the Irish speaking ‘Gaeltacht ‘areas, passing little towns and villages, stopping in most, staying in some, in the most scenic, fun, authentic places not too far from food and refreshments!
We travel the Sky Road along the West Galway heavenly scenic coastal routes and into County Mayo for its breathtaking islands, beaches and probably (like West Cork) the most beautiful forgotten gems, travelled by so few. Visit Keem Beach in Achill Island (film location for the film ‘The Banshees of Inisherin’) And discover the Deserted Village, Achill Henge and so many magical coves. We travel the wilds of Northwest Mayo and cozy up in one of the most welcoming towns in Ireland, Belmullet.
Lots of surprises from ancient landscapes, a privately owned castle museum, incredible scenery, an unknown fabulous beach bar serving the most wonderful food, walk up close and personal to megalithic tombs, options for climbing Knocknarea and surfing at Strandhill, to our final resting place of Week 3, the beautiful little city of Sligo.
WEEK 4
Sligo through Leitrim and Donegal
Immerse yourself in everything Yeats, literature, lore, the occult, and history. Incredible coastal routes, ancient tombs, with lots of time to enjoy every quaint hamlet, village and town along this incredible coastline.
Stay in “Lovely Leitrim” for a night before exploring the amazing, forgotten, county of Donegal. With its sandy beaches, rugged coastline, cozy bars, delicious seafood, the highest cliffs, and boat trip to Aranmore Island. Visit a lighthouse and Ireland’s most northernly point. We’ll slip inland a couple of times to visit a wildlife park and a famine commemoration site.
Donegal has everything! And we have lots of time to explore its many very special gems.
That’s all folks! Four weeks of absolute heaven on earth on the longest coastal route in Europe.
On the final Sunday, the coach will bring you back to Dublin with a few stops along the way.

All will be customised according to visitors wishes, and availability.
You will strengthen your grá (love) of Ireland, absorb so much history, experience the rich culture, enjoy so many special moments and lots of incredible scenery. We travel many routes in our small luxury coach that others will never see!
Lots of added extras according to guests wishes, like Horse and Carriage Ride through Killarney National Park, Sheepdog demonstration, Cookery demonstrations, boat rides, surfing, swimming, farm visits, finding ancestors, food markets, formal garden visits, ancient stone forts, film locations, and lots more!
Cost is €2550 per person sharing per week including 4* or very good 3* accommodation and breakfast, entry fees to everything, and guided transport with Driver and Fáilte Ireland qualified Guide. Single supplement 20% per day.
Normally about 10 to 15 people on each tour.
