Our Terms and Conditions
Deposit Payments
A non-refundable deposit of 10% per person is required. Deposits are required to secure your reservation.
Final Payments
Full payment must be made no later than 30 days prior to departure date. Walter’s Way Tours accepts Electronic Bank Transfer. Non-payment will forfeit your reservation.
Participant Cancellations
All cancellations must be advised via email to walter@walterswaytours.com.
Travel Protection Plan
Unfortunately we are unable to offer travel insurance policies to persons travelling on our coach tours, but we do advise all passengers to have the appropriate best travel insurance policy. Please ask your local insurance provider.
Tour Participation
To promote an enjoyable travel experience, Walter’s Way Tours reserves the right to reject any person whose conduct is incompatible with the interest of the tour group.
Travelers With Special Needs
Passengers necessitating unique attention must advise Walter’s Way Tours at time of booking. Passengers who require particular assistance must travel with a qualified travel companion as Walter’s Way Tours drivers and guides cannot provide individualized help.
As our coaches are not equipped with wheelchair ramps, all tour members must be able to mount 3 or 4 steps into the coach. Walter’s Way Tours is not responsible for denial of services by any of our suppliers. Due to space restrictions, passengers wishing to bring wheelchairs, oxygen tanks, walkers, or other assistive devices must send a request in writing for approval. Walter’s Way Tours reserves the right to remove any individual from a tour who has not provided advance notification.
Coach Transportation
Coach tours are usually operated by 16-seat coaches.
Tour Driver / Guide
Driver guide gratuity is not compulsory but it is customary. If your guide has been exceptional, tip accordingly. We recommend €10–€15 per person, per day. However, if you have both a driver and a guide, we recommend €7 to both driver and guide per day.
Tips
Tips for personal services for drivers and guides are not included in the tour cost and are left to your discretion.
Accommodation
Arrangements are provided as described in each tour program. Walter’s Way Tours reserves the right to substitute hotels for accommodations in similar categories. Accommodation in B&Bs (farmhouses, town and country homes) is clean, comfortable, and includes private bathrooms.
Meals
Breakfast is provided at all accommodations. Lunch and dinners are not included.
Specialised Diet
On your tour, Walter’s Way Tours can only guarantee western vegetarian or vegan meals as this policy is passed to us by our suppliers. Meal requests outside of this cannot be guaranteed prior to travel. Guests who have restrictive or specific requirements (including Halal or Kosher products, or Jain vegetarian dishes) sometimes bring their own food with them, which hotels can prepare.
Visits, Entertainment and Other Features
Walter’s Way Tours reserves the right to substitute visits, entertainment, and other features when establishments are closed or cannot be visited for reasons beyond our control.
Walter's Way Tours Cancellations
If it becomes necessary to cancel a coach tour prior to departure, Walter’s Way Tours will offer the next available date at no additional cost. Walter’s Way Tours cannot accept responsibility for any additional costs or fees relating to such a tour booking, or for any cancellation penalties due to non-refundable airfares.
Luggage
Handling of one piece of luggage per person is included in the cost of all coach tours. Only one suitcase per person is permitted; dimensions must not exceed 30 x 20 x 10 inches and weight must be under 50 lbs. Luggage is carried at the owner’s risk throughout the tour unless insured. Hand baggage and small articles such as coats, umbrellas, or cameras remain entirely in the care of the passengers.
Children
Children under the age of 8 are not permitted to travel on coach tours. Children aged 8 or over are charged the full adult rate (less a 10% discount) and must travel with an adult.
Smoking Policy
Smoking is not allowed on the coach, but frequent stops are made throughout the day.
Not Included
All items of a personal nature (room service, beverages, telephone charges, laundry, special food requests, etc.) and meals not specified on the tour itinerary are not included and must be paid directly by the passenger.
Unused Tour Arrangements
Walter’s Way Tours cannot make refunds or exchanges for unused accommodations, services, or features of any tour unless agreed upon prior to departure.
Claims or Disputes
Claims must be submitted to Walter’s Way Tours in writing no later than 28 days after the end of the tour.
Governing Law
Passenger contracts with Walter’s Way Tours are subject exclusively to Irish Law and Jurisdiction for Irish Tours.
Responsibility
Walter’s Way Tours is not responsible for any personal injury, property damage, or other loss a passenger incurs on any tour arising from acts or omissions by any air carrier, public transport company, hotel, subcontractor, or other person or organisation, whether or not such entity is rendering services supplied on the tour. All tickets and vouchers are issued and supplied subject to these terms and conditions.
Without limitation, Walter’s Way Tours is not liable for any direct, indirect, consequential, or incidental damage, injury, death, loss, accident, delay, inconvenience, or irregularity of any kind occasioned by reason of any act or omission beyond its control. This includes, without limitation, any wilful or negligent act, failure to act, breach of contract, or violation of local law or regulation by any third party (such as airlines, trains, hotels, bus companies, taxis, local ground handlers, guides, suppliers, or restaurants).
Walter’s Way Tours is not liable for any loss, injury, death, or inconvenience due to schedule delays, accommodation overbooking, default of any third party, animal attacks, illness, lack of appropriate medical care, evacuation costs, weather, strikes, acts of God or government, terrorism, force majeure, war, quarantine, epidemics, criminal activity, or any other cause beyond its control.
Walter’s Way Tours reserves the right at its sole discretion to alter itineraries as deemed necessary. Walter’s Way Tours also reserves the right to decline to accept or retain any passenger whose conduct is deemed detrimental to the group; in such cases, the only obligation is to refund the portion of payment allocable to unused services. Changes in this responsibility clause can only be made in writing and signed by an officer of Walter’s Way Tours.
Important Notice
Walter’s Way Tours accepts no responsibility for losses or expenses due to delays, schedule changes, flight cancellations, or misconnections resulting from mechanical issues, sickness, quarantine, weather, strikes, government actions, or acts of God. Passengers must bear all such expenses. Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly advised.
Validity
Rates on this website are valid to 31st December 2024 and are quoted on a per-person, twin-room-sharing basis. All prices are shown in Euros (€). Walter’s Way Tours reserves the right to alter prices at any time prior to departure without prior notice if circumstances warrant. Currency devaluations or revaluations may affect published rates.
